We're always looking for a good spot to eat. We were in the Strip district the other day and found our usual spots had a long wait for lunch. So it was the perfect time to try something new that my mom scoped out the other day. Which leads us to The Shake Shack.
This was our first time at a Shake Shack. Actually this is Pittsburgh's first Shake Shack. From how busy it was it looks like us Pittsburghers are welcoming it to the Burgh fam. We were impressed by it and we will be back! Located in the new terminals in the Strip District it is very easy access for anyone, plus easy to find!

So let's get the low down on this restaurant. Yes, it was busy but we were able to order right away. They have a self ordering system along with a regular line where you could talk to a person. I'm always down to self order and not feel the pressure of ordering with a person and hurrying. The system was very straight forward and easy to navigate and use. So anyone who gets nervous with technology, don't worry it shouldn't give you any problems.
We ordered got a number for the order and waited. For the big order we had the wait wasn't long at all. As we sat and ate I watched them get the orders out pretty fast, especially through a city lunchtime rush.

The burgers were really good, we were impressed when . They were topped nice and a really nice smashed patty. The topping were nice and fresh and the buns were soft. Definitely a place I would come for a burger fix again!

The fries were crispy and not soggy. that's a pet peeve for me for sure is soggy fries so trust me they are good! Although we got their sauce with it and it wasn't filled all the way and I felt kind of jipped. So be careful with that. Honestly that is the only real complaint I have about the whole experience.
They have many options for everything (the burgers, chicken, fries, shakes, and ice cream). Including a burger wrapped in lettuce. When I see that on the menu I am all for it and The Shake Shack did not disappoint. It was loaded and so filling.
The Chicken nuggets are really good and I think anyone who likes Chick-fil-A will also like these, they're similar. We did not try their chicken sandwiches but I'm sure they use the same breading on that too so I'm sure they are good.
Lastly we got a chocolate shake. I think it was really good. Especially on a hot day. I'm not a huge chocolate fan so I think next time I'd try a different one. But my nephew gave it two thumbs up and he's a Chocolate lover!

So the next time you are in the Pittsburgh Strip District area we highly recommend The Shake Shack for a quick burger, fries, and a shake. It was a yummy stop and we were able to continue our shopping after.
Let me know if you try it and what you think about this stop! Happy eating everyone!
